April 2013 - Birmingham Business Journal names Capstone Building Corp.'s projects The Villages at Lakeshore Crossings and Moretti at Vulcan Park as two of Birmingham's Real Estate Deals of the Year for 2012!

February 2013 - Maple Hills Apartments receives LEED® Gold certification: The Maple Hills Apartments project was awarded LEED Gold certification by USGBC for achievement in green home building and design. LEED for Home is a green home certification program that rewards homes that are designed and built to be energy and resource efficient and more healthy and durable for the occupants. LEED-certified homes complete a technically rigorous process that includes a home energy (HERS) rating and onsite inspections to verify that the home is built to be energy and water efficient, environmentally sound and a healthier place to live. Congratulations to the project team for a job well done!

January 2013 - Capstone Building Corp. begins construction on Jefferson Heights Senior Residences: Capstone Building Corp. began construction on the Jefferson Heights project, located in New Britain, CT.  The project consists of 70 senior housing units. 

December 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. begins construction on Heritage Landing Phase II: Capstone Building Corp. was issued a Notice to Proceed by the owner and began construction on teh Heritage Landing Phase II project, located in Memphis, TN.  The project consists of 35 multi-family buildings and a community center.  The project anticipates a November 2013 completion. 

November 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. begins construction on Moretti at Vulcan Park Apartments: Capstone Building Corp. was issued a Notice to Proceed and began demoliton in preparation for the construction of the Moretti at Vulcan Park Apartment project.  The project consists of 135 units and is slated for a November 2013 completion. 

August 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. selected as GC for Moretti at Vulcan Park: Capstone Building Corp. is proud to announce that it has been selected as GC for the Moretti at Vulcan Park project, located in Homewood, AL by The Dobbins Group.  The project will be a wood framed structure consisting of 135 units and associated amenities.  This project is currently scheduled to begin in October 2012.  We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working with The Dobbins Group.  

August 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. selected as GC for Jefferson Heights: Capstone Building Corp. is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Jefferson Heights Senior Residences project by Pennrose Properties.  The project, located in New Britain, CT, is a wood framed structure consisting of 70 units.  As always, we thank Pennrose for this opportunity and look forward to working with them on this exciting new project in the Northeast.  

August 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. selected as GC for 1200 South Boulevard: Capstone Building Corp. is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 1200 South Boulevard project by Cambridge Development.  The project, located in Charlotte, NC, is wood framed construction on top of a concrete parking garage and consists of 331 apartments.  We look forward to working with Cambridge Development on this exciting new project! 

July 2012 - Maple Hills Grand Opening:  The Chattanooga Housing Authority and Pennrose Properties held a Grand Opening for the Maple Hills project in Chattanooga, Tennessee on July 18, 2012.  Residents and dignitaries participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  The new Maple Hills development is comprised of eight residential buildings with a total of 48 rental units for family occupancy.  The apartments have a full amenities package, including a wide variety of energy efficient components.  Thanks to the project team, the development anticipates a "LEED for Homes" Gold Certification. 

June 2012 - Parkside at Mechanics ville receives LEED® Silver certification: The Parkside at Mechanicsville project was awarded LEED Silver certification by USGBC for achievement in green home building and design.  LEED for Home is a green home certification program that rewards homes that are designed and built to be energy and resource efficient and more healthy and durable for the occupants.  LEED-certified homes complete a technically rigorous process that includes a home energy (HERS) rating and onsite inspections to verify that the home is built to be energy and water efficient, environmentally sound and a healthier place to live.  Congratulations to the project team for a job well done!

 May 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. selected as GC for the Columbia Mill project: Capstone Building Corp. is proud to announce that it has been selected as the GC for the Columbia Mill project in DeKalb County, GA by Columbia Residential.  Capstone completed the Parkside at Mechanicsville project for Columbia Residential in December of 2011 so this will be the second project for Columbia Residential.  The project consists of 100 units and anticipates an August 2012 start date.  We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to another successful project with Columbia Residential.  

 May 2012 - Capstone Building Corp. breaks ground on Villages at Lakeshore Crossings: Capstone Building Corp. began construction on the Villages at Lakeshore Crossings project located in Birmingham, AL.  The project consists of 264 apartments, a clubhouse, tennis court and swimming pool and anticipates a July 2013 completion date.
